ABOUT

BROOKS BROWN, ARTIST

Brooks Brown is a woodturner in Knoxville, Tennessee. His passion for woodworking began at the early age of 13 and he's spent his life whittling, hand carving, power carving, and wood turning.

Brooks began wood turning in early 2021 during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic as a way to relieve stress. Interest in his work quickly spread beyond friends and family and he began to offer his work for sale in December 2021. 

Brooks' work has been featured by the Woodworkers Guide of America, the American Association of Woodturners, and can be found on display in the Houston Museum of Decorative Arts in Chattanooga, Tennessee. 

He focuses primarily on functional art featuring a wide range of domestic and foreign wood species and combinations. His work has been purchased and/or commissioned by clients in more than 35 states, Canada, Germany, and the United Kingdom.

He is a member of the American Association of Woodturners.
